Recycle it Global Acquires Chenoweth’s Trading Company (CTC), Strengthening Sustainable Waste Operations Across Cornwall and Devon
Recycle it Global (RIG) is proud to announce the acquisition of CTC Waste, a highly respected and long-established waste collection business operating throughout Cornwall and Devon. This strategic acquisition marks RIG’s fourth operational facility, joining our growing network alongside RIG Scorrier, RIG Plymouth, and RIG Newquay.
With deep roots in Cornwall and a legacy built on trust, customer service, and sustainability, CTC has earned a reputation as one of the region’s most dependable independent waste transfer stations. Their focus on holiday home and commercial waste collections aligns perfectly with Recycle it Global’s mission to protect natural resources and drive down landfill dependency.
A Shared Commitment to Sustainability
CTC’s core ethos, minimising landfill through tailored, reliable recycling and waste services echoes RIG’s own values. Their flexible and environmentally responsible service model, spanning general waste, recycling, and food waste collections, will remain unchanged and continue to meet the unique needs of their loyal customer base.
As part of this exciting transition, CTC will over time become RIG Roseland, honouring both its home on the Roseland Peninsula and its future role within RIG’s regional infrastructure. This rebrand represents not just a name change, but a renewed commitment to advancing sustainable waste solutions across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Expanding Regional Reach and Service Excellence
The integration of CTC expands RIG’s postcode coverage across Cornwall and into Devon, allowing us to serve a wider range of customers from coastal holiday homes to inland commercial operations. The existing CTC team will remain in place to ensure uninterrupted service and local knowledge, supported by RIG’s investment in technology, resource, training, and operational capacity.
“We’re passionate about building a circular economy that works for everyone—from holiday cottages to major infrastructure projects,” said Philippa Sherrell, Communications Director at RIG. “This acquisition helps us deliver on that ambition, expanding our reach while staying true to the principles that matter most to our customers.”
Paul Nicholls, CEO & Co-Founder of Recycle it Global, added:
“We’re proud to welcome the Chenoweth family’s legacy into Recycle it Global. Their long-standing commitment to the environment and local community is a perfect fit for our business. RIG Roseland will continue delivering the dependable service customers know and trust, with the added strength of RIG’s national vision and sustainable innovations.”
